Here is an initial review of this beautiful hair I will be making into a wig for a client.

This hair feels like butter! Also, all of the bundles are true to length. A picture of the weft is below. I don't know if you will be able to tell but the wefts are very thin! This is good because when I fold the wefts, there won't be any bulkiness.

Now I really can't go into debt far as tangling and shedding because only my client will really know. But when I combed out the hair, I didn't get any tangles, maybe a few snags but that's expected when it comes to deep curly hair. I did get some shedding, not a lot but that's also expected when it comes to deep curly hair. I sealed the wefts as requested by my client so shedding will be reduced.

Jace beauty review

Last year May 2012, I purchased hair from jacebeauty.com. I purchased two 12-14 inch bundles of their russian fede wavy hair. I requested the hair to be slightly coarse with low luster. I had been eyeing the hair since I saw youtube reviews on it. At first, I was hesitant to buy it because I never bought hair that was in that price range. Normally when I buy virgin hair, I like to stay within the $200 range. This hair was in the $300 range. But even though it was a little out of my comfort zone, I went ahead and purchased because I never purchased russian hair before. What also convinced me was that I heard that it's more coarse and blends in better with ethnic hair.

My order came up to $330. At the time, she had a discount code on her site, so I used that code and received $25 off my order which brought my order down to $305. Shipping was $8.51. In total, I paid $313.51. Long story short, when my order hit 6 weeks in production time, I emailed the owner, Nicole to see if my hair would be shipped out within that week. The next day, she called me but I wasn't home so she left me a message. In her message, she apologized and let me know since my hair was not going to be shipped out within the 6 week mark, I would receive additional hair in my bundles which means the wefts of my bundles will be longer. I really appreciated that.

I ended up receiving my hair in July. She sent my package via Express mail which was really good but I wish she would have let me know that because I wasn't home and had to do a redelivery to my house. My hair came in a brown kind of tropical pouch bag with her business card attached to it. When I opened the pouch bag, my hair was in these nice brown satin pouches. She also sent me instructions on how to take care of the hair and what products to use for the hair. Pics are below.

Once I took my hair out of the pouches, it smelled so good!! I could tell that she washed and conditioned my hair. I could also tell that she used good products too. Some people order hair from different companies and say that their hair had a corn chip smell so the fact that she washed and conditioned my hair was very appreciated:)

I also measured my bundles to make sure that I received 12-14 inches in length for both bundles. Now when it comes to buying hair labeled as 12-14 inches, this means that your bundle may be a 12 inch, 13 inch, or 14 inch. Both of my bundles measured at 14 inches! I was so happy about that. Also, I received the right texture and luster. She said she would send me extra hair in my bundles and I think she did because the length of my bundles were pretty long when I stretched them out. I then made a u part wig with my hair.

Before I made the u part wig with this hair, I shampooed and deep conditioned the hair. I also bleached one of my bundles to a brown color. While washing the hair, I received NO tangles and barely any shedding even after I dyed one of my bundles. I also sealed my wefts as well. Once I installed the wig on my head, I received minimal shedding. I did receive a little more shedding from my bottom bundle at first. I think the reason why I got a little more shedding was because I did bleach my bottom bundle. But the shedding wasn't bad and it didn't shed excessively like if I were to touch my hair, hair wouldn't just come out and hair wasn't all over my floor. A couple of weeks later, the shedding did simmer down. But still, everytime I installed my wig, I didnt receive any tangles. Overall, I still love my hair and I am happy with my purchase.

Pros: Doesn't tangle and I even dyed my bottom bundle so that is really good.
Blends in good with my natural 4b hair
Both of my bundles were true to length
I received the correct wave pattern, texture, and luster
Hair was able to be straightened and dyed and still reverted back to it's natural wave pattern
Easy to flat iron
Easy to curl and it holds a curl well
Takes color well
Hair has body movement, the hair is not stiff.

Cons: Hair gets frizzy at times

Company pros: Good customer service. When I emailed her, she called me the next day.
Company cons: It took longer than 6 weeks for me to receive my hair. It actually took 2 months.

Overall: On a scale of 1 to 10, I give this hair a 8.
